BPA…… Did you hear about this?
I read in a magazine I got from my OB’s office – New Parent Magazine – about other products that we exposed our children to everyday that have BPA in their plastic & wanted to make other parents aware of it.
Here is a part of the article:
- ” BPA is the building block for polycarbonate plastic, so it’s in sports water bottles, reusable food containers and water cooler bottles.
It is also used inside the linings of tin cans, including infant formula containers”
Washing bottles in very hot water or harsh soaps causes leaching of the chemical.
To be safe, switch to bottles made of polypropolene ( they’re opaque and squeezable ) or glass. -
I think if so many parents are going to freak out over this they need to educate themselves & find out all products that carry BPA as many more things than just infant bottles have this in them.
We live in a world where we are always having to look over our shoulder..Its sad.
